Mission & Purpose
Where sporting tradition
finds purpose.
Griffon & Greylight was created to offer extraordinary sporting experiences while honoring something even greater — responsible stewardship of the land, meaningful service to others, and traditions worth passing from one generation to the next.
I · More Than Recreation
What people remember is rarely the shot itself.
They remember where they learned. Who taught them. Who stood beside them when the wind came up. Where a conversation went longer than anyone planned. Where a friendship began, and where a tradition was quietly handed down.
Griffon & Greylight exists to create those moments — and to give them a place worthy of the memory. The sport is the occasion. The meaning is the point.

II · The Land We Share
Six thousand five hundred acres, held in trust.
Stewardship, at Warrior Rizen Ranch, is a working discipline — care for the water and the meadows, for the elk trails and the aspen stands, for the quiet places that make the sport possible in the first place. We manage this land with an eye toward the generation that will inherit it, not the season in front of us.
III · Service
For those who have already given.
Griffon & Greylight shares its home, and its values, with Warrior Rizen — an organization founded to stand alongside veterans, first responders, and their families. The ranch opens its gates to them in quiet, meaningful ways through the year.
A morning on the water. A day in the field. A long dinner under lantern light. No ceremony, no cameras — only the country, and the company of people who understand what it took to get here.
These values are not an addition to the club. They are among the reasons it exists.

IV · Conservation
Wildlife, habitat, and the traditions they make possible.
Conservation, as we understand it, is not only the protection of animals and habitat. It is the preservation of the sporting traditions themselves — the discipline of the field, responsible access, mentorship, and the long apprenticeship that turns a beginner into a steward. Healthy country, healthy sport, in that order.

V · Passing It Forward
The best traditions are the ones taught patiently.
A child's first cast. A daughter learning to read the wind. A newcomer, quietly mentored by someone who has spent decades in these mountains. This is the work of a sporting club that means to last.
Family. Friendship. Hospitality. Purpose. The words are simple. The practice takes a lifetime — which is exactly why we intend to do it well.
VI · The Warrior Rizen Connection
Kindred houses. Shared values. One quiet purpose.
Warrior Rizen Ranch is the land. The Warrior Rizen Foundation is the work carried on that land. Griffon & Greylight is the sporting expression of both — a private club whose members help make the broader mission possible simply by belonging to it.
VII · A Legacy Worth Leaving
Great sporting clubs are remembered for their people, their traditions, and their character — never their facilities.
We intend to be remembered well.
